DTF transfers for restaurant uniforms
DTF (direct-to-film) puts a full-color logo on almost any fabric without screens. It is the right call for a 12-piece order with a photo-style logo or a mix of tees, aprons and polos. Battle Born Clothing outsources the transfers to DTF Tribe in Carson City, NV and presses them in-house. Priced per job.
When DTF beats screen print or embroidery
- Logos with gradients, photos or more than three colors
- Orders under 48 pieces where screens do not pay off
- Mixed garments and fabrics in one job (poly, cotton, blends)
- Names and numbers alongside a logo
When it does not
- Aprons washed daily for a year: use embroidery.
- Big simple one-color runs of 48+: screen print is cheaper per piece.
- Heavily textured fabric: ask us first.
Pricing
DTF is quoted per job based on print size and quantity. Send artwork and quantity on the quote form and we price it the same business day. Artwork
Vector or 300 dpi PNG with a transparent background. DTF reproduces what you send, so a low-resolution file will look low-resolution.
Questions
Do you print DTF in-house?
No. We do not run a DTF printer. DTF Tribe in Carson City prints the transfers and we press them here with the rest of your order.
How does DTF hold up on a restaurant tee?
Well on a tee washed normally. On aprons bleached daily we recommend embroidery instead.
